In a shocking incident in Unnao, police arrested two individuals in connection with the murder of 24-year-old Sudhir Pal, whose body was discovered near a field in the Achalganj police station area.
The deceased was identified as Sudhir Pal (24), son of Ram Sajeevan from Baliyarkheda village. CO Bighapur Madhup Nath Mishra, accompanied by a forensic team, inspected the site and collected evidence before sending the body for postmortem. A formal case has been registered at Achalganj police station.
During the investigation, authorities identified the accused as:
Sandeep (28) – son of Surkalal Nishad, resident of Bhopalpurwa, Nawabganj police limits, Kanpur Nagar
Ranjeet Verma (27) – son of Ramchandra Verma, resident of Baliyarkheda
Police revealed that a love rivalry was at the center of the crime. Both Sudhir and Sandeep were romantically involved with the same woman, leading to escalating tension. Sandeep allegedly conspired with Ranjeet to eliminate Sudhir. The duo reportedly strangled him with a saree and dumped his body near the field.
Both accused have been taken into custody and are being interrogated. Police stated that they will be produced in court soon, and a chargesheet is expected to be filed in the coming days.
