Police on Thursday arrested Umesh Yadav, son of Laxman Yadav, at Buxar railway station under Town police station jurisdiction. Umesh had been absconding in connection with the high-profile Ahiyapur triple murder case registered under Rajpur police station in the district.
According to Buxar SP Shubham Arya, Umesh was attempting to flee by train via Buxar railway station. Acting on a tip-off, police apprehended him as soon as he arrived in the city.
Following the arrest, police have started questioning Umesh Yadav. Authorities believe his interrogation could uncover vital information about the conspiracy behind the murders and potential involvement of other suspects.
The SP also confirmed that a notice for property attachment had already been issued against Umesh Yadav’s residence.
