Among those arrested is Mohammad Nigarees (22), a BAMS student from Dhule, Maharashtra. Police say he brought ganja from his hometown and sold it locally to fund a lavish lifestyle. From his possession, authorities recovered a portion of the 1.511 kg of ganja worth Rs 59,300, along with two weighing scales, two mobile phones, and a scooter used in the illegal activity.

In a related operation, Abdul Shakeeb alias Shaki (22) of Urume, Natekal, and Sabir Ahmad (24) from Gandi, Permannur, were also arrested. Shakeeb, a driver, and Sabir, a painter, reportedly sourced ganja from a man named Fabeen of B C Road and sold it locally. Police seized 420 grams of ganja and Rs 6,000 in cash from them.

The operation was conducted under the direction of Ullal police inspector Virupaksha Swamy and led by sub-inspector Siddappa Narnur, highlighting ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region.
