Tyvon Thompson, 21, from Turkey, North Carolina, has been arrested in connection with the theft of seven vehicles from a Pitt County auto dealership in October. The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office charged Thompson with multiple offenses, including conspiracy, breaking and entering, safe cracking, and seven counts of larceny of a motor vehicle. Additionally, Thompson faces charges for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and other charges related to Wake County warrants.
The theft occurred on October 28 at D & S Auto Source, LLC, located on U.S. 13 near Farmville, where deputies discovered the stolen vehicles. Thompson was arrested and later released from the Sampson County Detention Center after posting a $20,000 secured bond.
Thompson joins three other suspects previously arrested in connection to the crime: Ellis Wilson, 27, of Faison; Joshua Hobbs, 24, of Pikeville; and Robert Drake, 31, of Turkey, North Carolina. All four individuals face similar charges in relation to the theft scheme.
