OCEAN CITY, Md. — Three people, including a juvenile, were arrested Saturday night after Ocean City Police discovered stolen firearms and marijuana during a traffic stop.
Around 8 p.m. on June 15, officers stopped a vehicle near N. Division Street and Baltimore Avenue. All four occupants were under 21 years old, and officers reported smelling marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
A probable cause search led to the discovery of a loaded handgun inside the car. Two more loaded handguns were found on 20-year-old Tyshawn Yerby. Police also located marijuana both in the vehicle and on one of the passengers.
Investigators later confirmed that two of the three handguns had been reported stolen in Baltimore County in 2023.
Yerby was arrested and charged with ten handgun-related offenses and theft of property valued between $100 and $1,500. He is being held without bond.
Also arrested was 20-year-old Oreese Stevenson Jr., who faces five handgun-related charges and the same theft charge. He is also being held without bond.
A 17-year-old juvenile, charged as an adult, faces five handgun-related offenses and theft charges. The juvenile is also being held without bond at the Worcester County Jail.
