TUSCALOOSA, AL — A multi-state manhunt ended with the arrest of 22-year-old Tyshawn Laquan Thompson in connection to the fatal shooting of Roy Lamar Curry Jr. at a Texaco gas station on Skyland Boulevard East.
The incident occurred June 20 around 4:15 p.m. when emergency responders were called to the scene. Curry, 42, who worked detailing vehicles at the business, was found shot multiple times. Despite lifesaving efforts, he died from his injuries.
