TULSA, Okla. — A Tulsa father, Tyrice Williams, has been charged with first-degree murder following the tragic death of his one-month-old son.
Tulsa Police responded to a domestic violence call at Eagle Pointe Apartments around 4 a.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, officers found the infant in cardiac arrest. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered multiple traumatic injuries, including a skull fracture, broken arms and legs, a collapsed lung, and a deformed skull.
According to investigators, Williams claimed he fell while holding his son after being pushed down the stairs. However, a doorbell camera at the residence contradicted his statement. The footage revealed the mother and a third person leaving the apartment, while Williams later left with an empty alcohol bottle, returning alone. Audio from the video captured seven loud thuds and Williams speaking to the baby during the time of the incident.
On August 12, the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office officially charged Williams with first-degree murder, and he was taken into custody. Authorities emphasize that this is an arrest, not a conviction.
