BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A man was arrested after allegedly throwing large rocks at moving vehicles in Birmingham last Sunday, according to the Birmingham Police Department.
Authorities say 38-year-old Tyrese Hayes faces multiple charges, including four counts of reckless endangerment, four counts of first-degree criminal mischief, and four counts of throwing or shooting a deadly or dangerous object into an occupied vehicle.
The incident occurred near Gadsden Highway and Roebuck Parkway. Officers from the East Precinct were conducting a business check in the area when they were flagged down by a citizen reporting the rock-throwing.
Police say officers quickly located and arrested Hayes without incident. A preliminary investigation revealed that four vehicles were struck, though no injuries were reported.
Hayes is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail with bond set at $102,000.
