GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — A Williamsburg County man has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies following a violent domestic incident in the town of Andrews on Saturday night, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.

Tyquan Kevin Palmer, 20, faces charges of attempted murder, first-degree burglary, and four counts of first-degree assault and battery. The charges stem from an alleged confrontation with a woman at a home on West Myrtle Road.

Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jason Lesley said Palmer is accused of unlawfully entering the woman’s home, physically assaulting her, then exiting the residence and firing gunshots into a screen door and interior wall.

Palmer is currently being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center pending a bond hearing. Authorities have not released further details about the victim’s condition or potential additional charges.
