MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — A 21-year-old man is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a home, stealing a vehicle, fleeing from police, and leading a high-speed chase through two counties before crashing in Rutherford County.

According to the Murfreesboro Police Department, Tyler Hudson was taken into custody around noon on Friday. He is charged with aggravated burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, evading arrest, retaliation for past actions—specifically targeting a witness who testified against him in a 2023 shooting case—and a parole violation from the Tennessee Department of Correction.

The investigation revealed that on Thursday, May 22, Hudson and another masked individual broke into an apartment on Saint Andrews Drive and stole a gaming console and a purse containing car keys. The vehicle was reported stolen the following morning around 7:30 a.m.

Using license plate recognition (LPR) technology and the vehicle’s built-in tracker, analysts at the Real Time Crime Center located the stolen car. A Murfreesboro officer spotted the vehicle on Veterans Parkway, but did not pursue due to safety concerns.

The car was later tracked to Cannon County, where deputies chased it back into Rutherford County at speeds exceeding 100 mph. Hudson evaded a spike strip but eventually crashed near the intersection of John Bragg Highway and South Rutherford Boulevard.

Hudson was apprehended shortly after at South Rutherford Boulevard and Louise Street. A female passenger, identified as 18-year-old Myka Marable of Dickson, attempted to flee on foot but was quickly arrested and charged with evading arrest.

Hudson is being held in the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on a $147,500 bond, but remains jailed without bond for the parole violation. He is scheduled to appear in Rutherford County General Sessions Court on July 14. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
