NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. — Two suspects are in custody and a third remains on the run following a high-speed chase involving a stolen SUV in Newberry County.
On May 16, deputies with the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) were alerted that a 2025 Range Rover reported stolen from Greenville County had been spotted in their jurisdiction. A deputy located the vehicle on Whitner Road near U.S. Highway 76 and attempted a traffic stop.
The driver fled, leading deputies on a chase that ended when the suspects abandoned the SUV on Tripod Road, off Shrine Club Road and Highway 76. All three occupants fled on foot into a wooded area.
K9 units from NCSO and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), along with aerial support, searched the area, but lost the trail near the Fast Stop convenience store on CR Koon Highway.
Authorities later identified the suspects as 20-year-old Tyleik Jaeqwon Sanders, 22-year-old Quattro Keazzhie Sanders, and 23-year-old Jamarius Tyreek Wilson. NCSO’s Critical Response Team later arrested both Tyleik and Quattro Sanders in separate operations.
Both men face charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and failure to stop for law enforcement. Jamarius Wilson remains at large and is wanted in connection with the case.
Greenville City Police continue to investigate the original vehicle theft.
