Vellore, Tamil Nadu – Seven men have been arrested for allegedly burgling a hotelier’s house in Mettukulam village near Katpadi, police confirmed on Monday.
The accused were identified as:
P. Tygarajan (35)
K. Venkatesh (36)
E. Satish (30)
A. Saravanan (23)
E. Bharathi (36)
S. Gopi (39)
M. Pushparaj (27)
All suspects are residents of Vellore and surrounding areas.
Police successfully recovered 40 sovereigns of gold jewellery and several silver items stolen from the hotelier’s residence. Authorities said the arrests were made following a coordinated operation based on intelligence inputs and tracking local criminal records.
The gang is being further interrogated to uncover any additional crimes they may be linked to in the region.
