During a vehicle check in Kovalam on Friday, police arrested two young men, Ajit (23) from Pachaloor and Rajesh (23) from Kochi, found in possession of 28.09 grams of methamphetamine. The synthetic drug was reportedly brought from Bengaluru.
Authorities have intensified investigations into the sources and distribution networks of illicit drugs in the region. Over the past three weeks, the district has registered 328 drug-related cases, leading to the arrest of 333 individuals for drug possession. Police continue their crackdown to curb the rising menace of drug trafficking.
