ORLANDO, Fla. – Two women were arrested early Wednesday morning after leading Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) officers on a high-speed chase that reached dangerous speeds of up to 130 mph on Interstate 4.

The pursuit began just before midnight on Tuesday, when a trooper spotted a white Mercedes driven by Jakquelynn Lorenzi and Trinity Green traveling in the inside lane of I-4 West at 90 mph—well over the posted speed limit of 60 mph. According to the arrest report, the vehicle continued to weave through traffic, pushing its speed to an alarming 130 mph.

The chase escalated when the suspects exited State Road 408 and attempted to escape by driving on the wrong side of the road, further endangering themselves and other motorists.

FHP says the trooper successfully maneuvered to spin the car out of control, bringing the dangerous pursuit to an end. Both Lorenzi and Green were taken into custody at the scene.

After their arrest, the suspects attempted to claim that two men had kidnapped them and were the ones actually driving the vehicle. However, dash cam footage from the patrol car did not show anyone else exiting the vehicle, contradicting their story.

The two women are now facing multiple charges, including fleeing law enforcement and reckless driving.
