Two Topeka Women Arrested for Meth Possession in Jackson Co.

Janis Myrick and Lori Price arrested after traffic stop for meth

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) – Two Topeka women were arrested on drug charges on Friday, November 29, after a traffic stop in Jackson County.

Sheriff Tim Morse reported that at around 10:30 p.m., Jackson County Deputies conducted a traffic stop near 142nd and U.S. Hwy 75. The driver, 49-year-old Janis Ann Myrick, and her passenger, 58-year-old Lori Jean Price, were both arrested on drug-related offenses.

Janis Ann Myrick was taken into custody and booked into the Jackson County Jail on the following charges:

Possession of methamphetamine
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Outstanding warrant from Jewell County, Kansas
Lori Jean Price was arrested and booked on charges of:

Possession of methamphetamine
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Felony interference with law enforcement
The Kansas Highway Patrol assisted with the incident.
