In a breakthrough in a gold theft case, the Halasuru Gate police in Bengaluru arrested two goldsmiths from Rajasthan for stealing 2.5 kilograms of gold from a jewelry shop they were working at. The theft occurred earlier this year, in January, and the accused managed to flee with the gold before escaping to Delhi.
According to police reports, the store owner filed a complaint about the theft, prompting a thorough investigation. The police were able to track down the suspects, Mahabeer Gujrar (25) and Manish Prajapati (20), after following several leads. The two were arrested after a detailed investigation, and efforts are underway to locate a third accomplice who remains at large.
Police are continuing to search for the third suspect involved in the crime, who was allegedly an accomplice of Gujrar and Prajapati in executing the theft. The goldsmiths are believed to have planned the robbery, taking advantage of their positions in the shop to steal valuable gold items.
As the investigation continues, authorities are hopeful that the third suspect will be apprehended soon, and the stolen goods will be recovered.
