The Kalyanpur Police have arrested two additional suspects in connection with the brutal murder of Sumit, a youth who was beaten to death after confronting a motorcyclist for reckless driving in the Nankari area. The arrests come after the primary accused, identified as Guddu, was already taken into police custody.

The tragic incident occurred on April 24, 2025, when Sumit, a resident of Nankari, objected to Guddu’s dangerous motorcycle riding. In retaliation, Guddu and five accomplices launched a brutal attack on Sumit using sticks and iron rods. The vicious assault caused severe injuries, and Sumit later succumbed to his wounds while receiving treatment at Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital.

On Thursday morning, police apprehended Anand Sharma and Ravi Kumar near Kalyanpur station in connection with the crime. Kalyanpur ACP Abhishek Kumar confirmed that legal proceedings had been initiated against the three arrested suspects. However, authorities are still conducting a search for the remaining individuals involved in the attack.

The incident has sparked outrage in the local community, raising concerns over road safety and violence in the region. Authorities are committed to bringing all those responsible to justice and ensuring accountability for the tragic death of Sumit.
