Two Men Arrested with Stolen Scooter and Pistol in Police Raid

Police seize stolen Activa scooter and pistol from suspects.

In a successful late-night operation, the police arrested two men in possession of a stolen Activa scooter and an illegal firearm. The incident occurred at 2:35 am on Sunday when officers intercepted a suspicious scooter for routine checks. Upon questioning, the riders, identified as Chandresh alias Chandu Kisan Hatewar (38) and Navin alias Chintu Ravi Gulhane (25), both residents of Kalimata Mandir, Hilltop, Pandharabodi, appeared nervous and couldn’t provide satisfactory answers about the vehicle.

During the search, the police uncovered a black pistol, along with a live cartridge, hidden in the storage compartment of the scooter. Additionally, two mobile phones were seized, along with the unregistered Activa scooter, which has an estimated value of Rs1,02,000. The two men were arrested on the spot, and a case has been filed against them.

The police have taken the suspects into custody for further investigation. Authorities are also looking into whether the arrested individuals are involved in any other criminal activities.
