FALL RIVER, MA — Two men were arrested in separate drug investigations over the weekend, Fall River police announced, after officers witnessed suspicious behavior outside a residence known for drug activity.

Suspect 1: Andre Rego
On Saturday, police observed 34-year-old Andre Rego operating a vehicle that had been linked to previous drug-related investigations. Rego’s license was suspended, prompting officers to conduct a stop.

Officials say Rego fled the scene in the vehicle, triggering a foot pursuit. He was arrested on Pebble Street, and a search of the car uncovered approximately 4.1 grams of fentanyl.

Rego is facing multiple charges, including:

Possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance (fentanyl)

Operating with a suspended license

Resisting arrest

Failure to stop for police

Suspect 2: Leonard Starcher Jr.
In a separate incident later the same day, police conducted surveillance at a local gas station based on intelligence that 35-year-old Leonard Starcher Jr., who had an active warrant, was in the area.

Starcher was located and taken into custody without incident. He is now facing charges of:

Cocaine trafficking

Outstanding arrest warrant
