Two Men Arrested in Havana, Illinois for ATM Theft Scheme

Marol Aguiar Rodriguez, 20, and Leandro Magdiel Bordones Villegas, 26, were arrested in Havana, Illinois after being accused of a series of ATM thefts across the state. The two men face multiple charges, including burglary, criminal damage to property, and theft.

According to reports from the Journal Star, the pair allegedly used various methods to hack into ATMs and withdraw significant amounts of cash. One incident involved the use of a false key to access an ATM and take money.

Detectives were able to track the suspects using surveillance footage from the scene of the crimes. The stolen funds and the stolen keys used to break into the machines have led to the arrest of Rodriguez and Villegas. Further investigation into their activities is ongoing.

Both men face serious charges as authorities continue to investigate the extent of their alleged ATM theft operation.
