On the morning of Sept. 14, 2022, FPD officers responded to the 400 block of Prout Drive after reports of a shooting victim. Upon arrival, officers found William Ewell deceased inside his vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound to the head, according to Florence Coroner Keith von Lutcken.
