Two men were arrested by the Vastrapur police on charges of breaking into PG accommodations in Ahmedabad and Surat and stealing mobile phones. The accused, Hannan Imran Saiyed (30) from Nizamabad, Uttar Pradesh, and Tabrez Iqbalkhan (27) from Fatehpur, Haryana, had been stealing mobile phones when the PG doors were left open at night.

The police recovered a total of 14 stolen mobile phones—six from PGs in Ahmedabad and eight from PGs in the Rander area of Surat. According to the police, Hannan and Tabrez had arrived in the cities under the pretext of working as laborers. At night, they would roam the areas, looking for PG accommodations with open doors, then sneak inside to steal mobile phones.

The duo has been charged with five FIRs in Ahmedabad for the theft of six mobile phones and one FIR in Surat for stealing eight phones. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine if the duo was involved in similar thefts in other areas.
