Two Held for Masjid Theft in Baramulla, Steamer Recovered

Copper steamer worth Rs1.5 lakh recovered by police

Police have arrested two individuals for allegedly stealing a valuable copper steamer from a Masjid Shareef in Pandithpora Payeen, Kunzer.

The case came to light on August 15, when the Lambardar of Pandithpora filed a complaint at Police Station Kunzer, stating that unknown persons had stolen a copper steamer during the night from the local mosque.

Acting swiftly, police launched an investigation and detained two suspects, both residents of West Bengal:

Mohammad Eya Kalimim alias Ramzan, son of Mohammad Neshu Sheikh of Niyabasti, Kalia Chak

Mohammad Haneef Sheikh, son of Mohammad Rayeesu Sheikh

Based on their statements, the police recovered the stolen copper steamer, valued at approximately Rs1.5 lakh. Authorities confirmed that further investigation is underway, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend other individuals possibly involved in the theft.
