In a major drug bust, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Ahmedabad City Police arrested two men on Wednesday for possessing 209.02 grams of Mephedrone valued at Rs 20.89 lakh.
One of the arrested individuals, Amitpalsingh Harjindersingh Makkar (48), a resident of Vastrapur, Ahmedabad, was found in possession of Mephedrone worth Rs 2.70 lakh. The police acted on a tip-off provided by Constable Vanrajsinh Bhagwatsinh, which led to the successful operation and the seizure of the narcotics.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to understand the extent of the drug supply network in the area.
