WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Bruce Drum, 42, and Jamie Lee West, 50, both of Williamsport, were arrested for allegedly stealing approximately $5,000 worth of scrap aluminum from a recycling dumpster owned by Overhead Door on Reach Road.

Police report that the thefts occurred between October 4 and Friday, with the suspects allegedly attempting to sell more stolen scrap at a Montgomery area salvage business when apprehended.

Both Drum and West face felony charges of theft, receiving stolen property, and theft of secondary metal.

Following their arraignment before District Judge Denise Dieter, West was jailed with $20,000 bail, while Drum was released on $15,000 bail.

Authorities remind the public that scrap metal thefts are a serious felony and encourage businesses to secure metal dumpsters and report suspicious activity.
