TUPELO, Miss. — A man and woman are in custody following a drug raid at a Tupelo residence, where authorities uncovered methamphetamine, firearms, and cash, according to a press release from the Tupelo Police Department.

The arrest stems from an investigation prompted by multiple community complaints regarding suspected drug activity at a home in the 900 block of Dixie Creek Road.

On March 27, agents with the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at the residence. During the operation, authorities seized what they described as a trafficking amount of methamphetamine, multiple firearms, marijuana, and a quantity of U.S. currency.

As a result, Kelly Nicole Ballard, 44, was arrested and charged with trafficking a Schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine). She is being held without bond due to a prior drug-related charge for which she was already out on bond.

James Timothy Galjour, 41, was also arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine). His bond was set at $5,000 following his court appearance before Judge Willie Allen on March 28.

Police say additional details may be released as the investigation continues.
