SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) — Two individuals were arrested in Shreveport after a search warrant was executed at a residence on March 4, 2024.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., members of the Shreveport City Marshal’s Office, the Shreveport Police Department’s Warrant Unit, and the Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT) executed the warrant at 544 E. 74th Street. The warrant was obtained following a tip from the Caddo Parish Juvenile Services Officer, who provided information about the presence of firearms and narcotics at the location.
During the operation, officers detained three individuals and seized a firearm with an automatic conversion device, commonly referred to as a “switch,” and 80 grams of marijuana.
As a result, Jaxson Furr, 20, and Clade Byrd, 20, were arrested. While being escorted outside in heavy rain and flooding conditions, Furr attempted to flee. He ran to a nearby residence at 532 E. 73rd Street. Officers quickly surrounded the home, and Furr surrendered without further incident.

Possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance
Simple escape
Clade Byrd was charged with:
Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
Both suspects were booked into jail, and the investigation remains ongoing.
