Two Arrested in Morang and Biratnagar for Drug Offenses

Bishal Limbu and Ramesh Shah face charges of illegal drug possession

MORANG, Oct 10 – Police have arrested two individuals from Kerabari in Morang and Biratnagar for their involvement in illegal drug activities.

According to the Province Police Office of Province 1, Bishal Limbu, 30, from Dangi, Kerabari Rural Municipality-7, was apprehended with one gram and 900 milligrams of brown sugar. Limbu was arrested by a team from the Area Police Office, Kerabari around 8 PM on Saturday. SP Navin Raj Rai, spokesperson for the police, confirmed that further investigations are underway.

In a separate incident, Ramesh Shah, 28, the operator of Saira Hotel in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-15, was arrested on drug trafficking charges. According to SP Rai, a team from the Rani Area Police Office discovered illegal drugs during a search of the hotel.

The police recovered 15 bottles of Dalex, 42 tablets of Nitravet, 24 tablets of Spasmo Proxyvon, 34 tablets of Spas Trancon Plus, and 240 grams of cannabis from the hotel. Shah was subsequently arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
