Bajpe police arrested Sunil Kumar (40) from Bihar and Brijesh Srivastava (42) from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly attempting to sell around 1 kg of ganja brought from Bihar to Mangaluru by train. The raid was conducted on January 3 near Shantigudde Cross under Bajpe police station limits after receiving specific information.

The accused reportedly admitted during interrogation that they purchased the narcotic substance in Bihar and transported it to Mangaluru to sell, targeting migrant labourers from North India.

A case has been registered under Sections 8(c) and 20(b)(ii)(a) of the NDPS Act (Crime No. 08/2026), and further investigation is ongoing.

Bajpe police continue to probe the source and distribution network involved in the interstate trafficking of ganja.
