Two men, P Sanjay (24) and R Karthikeyan (24), both residents of Nesapakkam near KK Nagar, were arrested by the Maduravoyal police for possessing 1,800 Tydol tablets and 10 syringes. The arrest followed a surprise check conducted by police under a flyover in Maduravoyal based on a tip-off.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the duo had ordered the drug tablets from Delhi and Mumbai via online courier services. They had been selling the drugs to medical college students in the vicinity of the Maduravoyal flyover.
The two accused were produced before a magistrate court and remanded in judicial custody. The police are continuing their investigation to uncover more details of the drug trafficking network.
