Lexington — Police conducted simultaneous drug-related arrests Thursday morning as part of an ongoing investigation, according to the Lexington Police Department.

Police Chief Paul Schwarz said the arrests involved David Boesch, 45, of Smithfield, and Robert J. Brown, 42, of Elwood.

Boesch was arrested at his place of employment in Lexington, while Brown was located at a trailer park in southwest Lexington. Both men were named in Dawson County arrest warrants charging them with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Brown also faces additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a concealed firearm. Authorities said both suspects were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Dawson County Jail.

Chief Schwarz said the investigation involved assistance from several agencies, including the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol, the C.O.D.E. Task Force, and the Lexington Police Department’s Emergency Services Unit (ESU).

Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
