Two Arrested in Jackson County for Methamphetamine Possession

Separate traffic stops lead to arrests for meth-related charges

HOLTON, Kan. (WIBW) – Two individuals were arrested this week in Jackson County for methamphetamine possession in separate incidents, according to Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse.

The first arrest occurred early Sunday morning when a Jackson County sheriff’s deputy stopped an Acura passenger vehicle near 150th Road just west of US-75 highway. The driver, Nichole Hoyal Allen, 40, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail in Holton on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, improper driving on a laned roadway, and a defective tag lamp.

In a separate case, another traffic stop occurred Monday around 12:30 a.m. on a 1995 Dodge Neon near US-75 and 126th Road. A Jackson County Sheriff’s K-9 identified the presence of illegal drugs inside the car. The driver, Colby Lee Gant, 36, of Council Grove, was arrested and taken to the Jackson County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance, and having an inoperable tag lamp.

Further details regarding the arrests were not available as of Tuesday morning.
