Two Arrested in Itawamba County for Methamphetamine Trafficking

Candi Leigh Painter and Benjamin Mackenzie Taylor arrested during search operation in Fulton

A joint operation by the Itawamba County Sheriff’s Department, Fulton Police Department, Amory Police Department, and North Mississippi Narcotics agents led to the arrest of two individuals on drug trafficking charges in Fulton, Mississippi.

During the execution of a search warrant in the area, law enforcement officials encountered Candi Leigh Painter and Benjamin Mackenzie Taylor. As the search progressed, officers discovered a trafficking amount of methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia including scales, baggies, and other items associated with distribution.

Both Painter and Taylor were taken into custody and booked into the Itawamba County Jail. They face charges of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine).

The bond for both individuals was set at $125,000 by Honorable Justice Court Judge John Bishop.
