Grand Forks Pair Arrested for Theft and Meth Possession

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) — Two individuals face theft and drug possession charges after stealing thousands of dollars in goods from a garage.

Police were called at approximately 8:00 A.M. on July 25 to investigate a burglary. The victim reported that personal belongings, including military-issued equipment and 300-400 Japanese porcelain and plastic figurines valued around $15,000, had been stolen from his garage.

Later that day, the victim spotted some of the stolen items at Grand Cities Games, where the suspects were attempting to sell them. The suspects, identified as Zachary Curtis and Kathryn Harris, fled the scene on electric scooters while pulling wagons loaded with the stolen goods.

Officers located the pair, and the victim positively identified the items recovered from their cart as stolen.

During a probation search of their residence, police found a container with a crystalline substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia.

Curtis and Harris are now facing charges of theft, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
