Two Arrested in Germantown for Involvement in Theft Ring

Caldararu, Trifum charged with theft, $10K in stolen goods recovered

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Germantown Police Department arrested two individuals on August 28 in connection with an organized retail theft ring.

Maelisa Caldararu, 24, and Evrimona Trifum, 32, were charged with possession of tools to disable theft deterrents and theft of property following an investigation into their activities.

Authorities were able to recover over $10,000 worth of stolen merchandise as part of the operation. Both suspects were taken into custody, and their bonds were set at $750,000 each.

The arrests are part of an ongoing effort to combat organized theft in the Germantown area.
