In a significant drug bust, Ernakulam Rural police arrested two more individuals in connection with the seizure of 300 grams of MDMA. The arrested suspects were identified as Abin John Baby (33) from Pothanikkad and Wasim Nisar (20) from Ambalappady. The operation was carried out by a joint team of Kalady police and the Rural District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force.
The operation began with the arrest of Abhiraj (29) from Pothanikkad on October 28. Abhiraj was intercepted while allegedly transporting the MDMA from Bengaluru in a car. Police had received a tip-off and apprehended him near Chandrappura. District Police Chief Vaibhav Saxena oversaw the operation, which led to the significant drug seizure. Further investigations are ongoing, and more arrests may follow as the authorities continue to track down the drug syndicate responsible.
