In a significant breakthrough, Jaipur police have arrested two individuals involved in a major cyber fraud case amounting to Rs 98 lakh. The accused, identified as Chandrabhan from Maujgarh (Abohar, Punjab) and Jatin from Nohar (Rajasthan), were taken into custody by a special team from the Cyber Crime police station.

Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan confirmed the arrests and said that both suspects were presented before a Sirsa court and have been remanded to two-day police custody for further questioning. During this period, authorities will attempt to recover the stolen amount.

The fraud was first reported on August 8 at the Sirsa Cyber Crime police station. The suspects lured victims into downloading a mobile application called KCL, falsely claiming it would offer substantial returns from stock market investments.

Among the defrauded victims are Vishal and Rajendra from Shastri Colony, and Deepak from Rupana village in Sirsa. The total amount stolen from them is reported to be approximately Rs 98 lakh, with the fraud taking place in June and July. The investigation was led by Sub-Inspector Subhash Chandra, who was tasked with tracking down the culprits.

Bhushan assured that the arrested suspects would be thoroughly interrogated, and strict legal action would be taken against anyone found involved in the fraudulent network.
