Two Arrested for Possessing Illegal Drugs in Tanahun

Asik Jalari and Pradip B K face drug trafficking charges

TANAHUN, May 11 – Police have arrested two individuals from the Prithvi Highway section in Benitar, Aanbu Khaireni Rural Municipality-4, for possession of illegal drugs.

The suspects have been identified as Asik Jalari, 30, from Pokhara Metropolitan City-31 in Kaski, and Pradip B K, 22, from Shuklagandaki Municipality-3 in Tanahun. They were apprehended during a routine vehicle and pedestrian inspection conducted by the Area Police Office in Aanbu Khaireni.

Authorities confiscated a total of 186 ampoules of controlled drugs, including 62 ampoules of Diazepam, 62 ampoules of Phenergan, and 62 ampoules of Nurofen from the suspects.

The police arrested the individuals on suspicion of being involved in drug trafficking. Investigations are ongoing to further uncover the details of the case.
