Two Arrested for Laptop Theft in Beltola, Rs 5.54 Lakh Recovered

Basistha Police recover stolen laptop, cash, and more within 24 hours

In a swift operation, Basistha Police Station (PS) recovered a stolen laptop within 24 hours of registering a complaint (case number 105/2025). The laptop had been stolen from Bishnu Rabha Path in Beltola, prompting the authorities to quickly act.

The police arrested Nitul Medhi, alias Ramani, from Sonapur, and Sarbat Mullah, who was captured during a raid at 15 Mile in Byrnihat. Along with the stolen laptop, the police also recovered two mobile phones, a significant amount of cash amounting to Rs 5.54 lakh, and two suspected laptops during the raid.

The swift recovery and arrests highlight the effectiveness of the police’s response to the theft. Investigations into the full extent of the crime continue.
