Meth pipes found in home where two malnourished children were left unattended

Morgan County, MO – A concerned citizen’s report led to the arrest of two individuals in Barnett, Missouri, after deputies discovered two neglected children living in a home with methamphetamine paraphernalia.

Maycee G. Ross, 20

Children had dried feces on their bodies and bruises
Appeared malnourished
Left in the care of an unqualified adult
Deputy Response & Investigation:

Deputies arrived and heard children crying inside.
A toddler opened the door, revealing Maxon asleep and unresponsive to their presence.
Deputies shook Maxon for five seconds before he woke up.
Maxon claimed Ross asked him to babysit but later couldn’t confirm her whereabouts.
Ross’s reported workplace confirmed she hadn’t been employed for two weeks.
Evidence Found:

Meth pipes and drug paraphernalia were easily accessible to the children.
Five glass pipes were found; four tested positive for methamphetamine.

Both suspects charged with:
Two counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs
Possession of a controlled substance
Bond set at $100,000 each at Morgan County Jail.
