Two Arrested at Kinston Walmart in Heroin and Methamphetamine Bust

Justin Dixon faces heroin trafficking charges following joint investigation by Kinston and Beaufort police departments

KINSTON, N.C. — A tip from the Beaufort Police Department led Kinston Police officers to a major drug arrest on Saturday, May 10, in the parking lot of Walmart, authorities announced.

Officers from Kinston PD’s C-Squad were dispatched to the area to locate a vehicle reportedly tied to an unauthorized use investigation. Upon arrival, they found the vehicle in the lot, occupied by Justin Dixon, 37, of Newport, and Sierra Willis, 21, of Beaufort, both of whom were asleep inside.

Dixon, the primary suspect in Beaufort’s case, was taken into custody on multiple outstanding warrants and arrest orders out of Carteret County.

A search of Dixon’s person revealed 10 grams of heroin, and a further vehicle search uncovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Both suspects were transported for processing. The incident remains under investigation by local law enforcement agencies.
