Nagpur: The Crime Branch Zone-I of Nagpur Police arrested Tushar Waghmare (22) and Nitesh Dhongde (26), both residents of Umred, for stealing a motorcycle worth Rs1 lakh from Laxmi Vihar Society, located on Wardha Road.
The theft reportedly occurred during the intervening night of September 26 and 27, as per a complaint filed by Monica Shende.
While on a routine patrol, crime branch officers spotted the two accused towing a bike and stopped them for questioning. When they failed to produce valid documents for the vehicle, further interrogation revealed that they had stolen the motorcycle.
Following their confession, the accused were handed over to Sonegaon Police for further investigation. The vehicle was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.
The case is currently under investigation to check for any possible previous criminal records or additional thefts linked to the duo.
