On February 19, 2025, around 4:30 p.m., officers encountered two individuals in a parked vehicle on South Green Street. After determining that both individuals had active warrants through the Tupelo Municipal Court, officers arrested them at the scene.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers discovered a firearm along with narcotics. Further investigation revealed that the passenger in the vehicle, Willie C. Price, had a prior felony conviction, making the possession of the firearm illegal.
