Kutra police in Sundargarh district arrested 35-year-old Tulsi Majhi on Thursday, two days after she allegedly killed her parents following a domestic dispute.
The incident took place in Bhogra village, where Tulsi reportedly assaulted her father, Mishra (60), and mother, Fula Lakra (52). Neighbors rushed the severely injured couple to the hospital, but both succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
The eldest daughter of the victims lodged an FIR, prompting police to launch a search for Tulsi, who had fled the scene. She was apprehended on Thursday and is currently in police custody. Investigation into the motive and circumstances behind the crime is ongoing.
