TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) — Three gang members have been arrested following a shooting incident at a party in Tulare County.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call just before midnight on Saturday regarding a large party in the community of Yettem, where gunshots were reported. As deputies arrived at the scene, more shots rang out.

Upon their arrival, deputies located a man who had been shot. He was promptly taken to the hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

While the exact circumstances leading to the shooting are still unclear, investigators indicated that the victim confronted the gang members about bringing firearms to the party.

The suspects have been identified as 18-year-old Daniel Tanguma and 20-year-old Jacob Salinas, both from Porterville, and 18-year-old Mathew Mejia from Visalia. All three have been booked into jail on charges of attempted murder and weapons offenses.

Authorities confirmed that the victim does not have any known gang affiliations.
