PORT MOODY, B.C. – Tsz Wing Boaz Chan has been sentenced to seven years in prison for a violent home invasion targeting cryptocurrency in April 2024.

Port Moody Police said Chan, who was arrested after re-entering Canada at Vancouver International Airport in July 2024, pleaded guilty to break and enter, sexual assault, and forcible confinement. He has been in custody since his arrest.

The sentence, handed down in Port Coquitlam last Friday, includes a DNA submission, a weapons ban, and a $50,000 restitution order. Authorities believe Chan did not act alone, and the investigation into additional suspects remains ongoing.
