ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) – A man from Ashland is facing multiple charges following a significant drug bust on Friday, according to the Ashland Police Department.
Troy A. Stephens was arrested at his residence, where officers seized a substantial quantity of fentanyl, a handgun, and various items of drug trafficking paraphernalia, officials said.
Stephens’ arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into illegal narcotics activity in the area. Police say his case highlights continued efforts to combat fentanyl distribution throughout Boyd County.
He is charged with:
First-offense trafficking in a controlled substance
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
Stephens was booked into the Boyd County Detention Center, with his bond set at $10,000 cash.
Authorities have not released further details, but the investigation remains active.
