MAYFIELD, Ky. (KBSI) — A Calloway County woman was arrested Thursday after allegedly driving under the influence and rear-ending a pickup truck on KY 80 East, according to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred around 4:15 p.m. on Sept. 25 near KY 940. Deputies say Trisia Miller, 37, was driving a 2020 Chrysler minivan when she struck a 2019 Ford F-250 from behind. The truck, driven by Seth Arnett, 30, of Mayfield, had been stopped in a left-turn lane.
The force of the collision pushed Arnett’s truck across both lanes before it came to rest in the eastbound lane. Miller sustained possible minor injuries and was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
Arnett and his two children, aged 1 and 3, were not injured. Deputies confirmed that all occupants were properly restrained.
Field sobriety tests determined that Miller was under the influence of alcohol. After being cleared at the hospital, she was arrested and transported to an out-of-county detention facility.
Miller faces several charges:
DUI (3rd offense) with aggravating circumstances
Three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment
Driving on a suspended license
Additional traffic offenses
The incident was investigated by Chief Deputy Jeremy Prince, with assistance from Deputies Greg Sloan and Larry Jones, and Mayfield/Graves County EMS.
