PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. — Trisha Wilda, 39, has been arrested in Norman, Oklahoma, by the U.S. Marshals on a warrant for fraud involving an elderly victim in Pueblo County.

According to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), Wilda, who served as a caretaker for a 96-year-old woman, allegedly charged up to $25,000 on the victim’s credit cards. The victim, now deceased, reported the fraudulent activity, which investigators traced back to Wilda.

Following an extensive investigation, PCSO obtained an arrest warrant charging Wilda with theft from an at-risk person, criminal exploitation of an at-risk person, and identity theft. U.S. Marshals located Wilda in Norman, where she was arrested on March 24 without incident.

Wilda was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center in Norman and is awaiting extradition back to Colorado to face charges.

PCSO detectives emphasized their commitment to protecting at-risk residents from financial exploitation.
