Tripura Police on Sunday arrested two relatives in connection with the death of a pregnant woman whose charred body was discovered near the Sadhutilla rail bridge on the outskirts of Agartala on Saturday.
The accused, identified as Uttam Sutradhar, 55, the victim’s father-in-law, and Partha Sutradhar, 40, another relative, were produced before a local court on Sunday. However, as of the time of reporting, the court had not issued any orders regarding their custody.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death is ongoing.
